Modern Suburban Kitchen

This busy family needed more dining space, storage and a design that was both high end and child friendly. Bullet proof countertop, recessed hardware, and water and scratch resistant cabinet finishes in the “wet zones” solved those problems. The room’s square foot print and six combined interior and exterior doors made adding seating a real challenge. It wasn’t possible to add a sizable table without sacrificing the utility of the space so the island was super-sized to seat six. The unique over-island lighting composition is a nod to the home’s structure.
